This day. May 7

I have been struggling with my own insecurities and the opinions of others for some time now.  It has gotten me sidetracked from the truth of God and the joy he alone can infuse.  It had robbed me of power and confidence in my walk with God. It has been sin more deadly than addiction or immorality.  I am done with it -for today.  I will allow tomorrow's faith to take care of keeping me on track tomorrow.  And so like a bird who lost its migration track and has awaken to find its purpose and strength compromised, I begin a new track with a new resolve -again.

This is my statement of personal faith for this day, May 7, 2015.  It is a result of prayer and reading based on Psalm 7.

I have only two real enemies: my earthly nature and Satan.  My earthly nature blinds me to Gods purpose and truth.  It lies to me about happiness, worthiness and accomplishment.  It will lead me to vulnerability.  Satan fights the Christ who lives in me daily.  He fights dirty and he desires to see me broken and crushed because I belong to God through Christ.  I must never forget where the opposition comes from.
God created mankind, yes God created me, with a plan, and a destiny.  Yet my enemies try daily to keep me off the perfect path he created me for.  Missing the awesomeness that God created me to be is sin.  Only through faith can I regain that path and the truth that purifies and completes my life.  The just will live by faith because my two enemies will not allow me to come to God.  They will hide the way and pervert the truth to keep me bound away from the goodness and purpose of God.
But faith will bring God to me and restore me to the awesomeness he created me to know.  Faith will keep me from coming up short of God’s glorious plan and power.  Because Jesus bore our iniquities and infirmities, my weakness and inabilities, when he died on the cross, so that those who have faith in him can no longer come short of what God intended.
I choose faith in God.  He will recreate me through his son to righteousness through faith and he will purify my earthly life through faith and love.
I must continue in faith daily, for I know what the flesh will accomplish if given space to work.  Today I will claim the sacrifice of Jesus to be my righteousness and to defeat the enemies of my soul.  Today I will trust that what Jesus accomplished on the cross can deliver me from myself and the plan that Satan would substitute for the glory of God. Today I will acknowledge my status as God’s child and heir. Today I will praise God for life and health and provision and be thankful for his love and the grace he gives through faith.

Psalm 7:17 I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High. (NIV)
