And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”
And with this statement, he began a Nazerite vow, and like Samuel, who also was neither a Cohen nor a Levite, still became the High Priest. It was not merely a covenant to become a High Priest, but a covenant to become OUR High Priest.

I find these comments very thought provoking, as is not uncommon with your comments. My relationship to Jewish thought though strong in many cases and my processing of the Bible which has been more extensive perhaps than some, are very influenced by my western 'Christian' cradle. Your viewpoint always surprises me and makes me consider a whole new line of thought. Thank you. I believe he ascended. It is my only conclusion.
